- Spelling - compound words (We will study this for 2 weeks. Our test will be on March 6th)
- Writer's Workshop - We will work on editing our rough draft when we make a final copy of a writing piece.
- Reader's Workshop - We are using our books to discover nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
We will talk about how we have grown and changed throughout first grade. We will use adjectives to help describe ourselves and how we have changed this year.
Math:
We will finish up our unit on counting coins. We will be revisiting word problems. Learners will create and solve word problems up to 20.

We will begin creating a booklet about seasons. The children are excited about showing their learning! The booklet will be displayed at open house.
