TCE Special Friend's Day
Please plan on joining up Friday, September 13th for a fun-filled day at Town Center! We have designated times throughout the day for "Special Friends" (family & family friends) to visit our learners' classrooms in order to see some of the great things they are learning and doing. Our campus book fair will also be open during this time. Please see below for grade level specific visiting times.

Look At What We Are Learning:
Language Arts:- In spelling we will talk about the short /o/ sound.
- During Reader's workshop we are learning how to shop for the right books, staying focused when reading, and building stamina. We are also learning different reading strategies to help us solve tricky words when reading. Ask your child about Eagle eye and Stretchy Snake.
- During Writer's Workshop we will continue to focus on Narrative Writing and how to make a story flow with transition words.
Social Studies:
Next week we will be talking about special people in our lives and how we can be an active part of that relationship. We can't wait to celebrate our special friends on Friday from 1:30 - 2:30 for Special Friends' Day in our classroom.
Math:
Next week we will continue to subitize and count to 120 from any given number. We will also discuss all the different ways to make 10.
